Sub-Regional Forum on Climate Change/Just Transition
The Sub-regional Forum on Climate Change/Just Transition took place from 4th to 5th April 2024 in Kampala, Uganda. The Forum brought together representatives from all EATUC affiliates and a climate change coordinator from ITUC-Africa.
The overall objective of the Forum was to build capacity and raise awareness among workers from EATUC affiliates on Climate Change and Just Transition, discuss innovative solutions for adaptation, and reflect on simple and practical ways to transition towards a low-carbon economy within communities, workplaces, and households.
During the Forum, Climate Change Coordinators/focal persons were identified and trained. Additionally, research topics on Climate Change/Just Transition were formulated.
