National Climate Change Coordinators Workshop – COSYBU Burundi
EATUC and COSYBU organized two-day training workshop on climate change and just transition from 23rd to 24th April 2025 in Bujumbura Burundi, the workshop brought together representative from all COSYBU’s affiliates, Youth and Women Committee leaders,
The main objective was to strengthen the capacity of COSYBU’s affiliates to engage effectively on climate change and just transition, formulating lobby/advocacy strategies for COSYBU in order to be included in National Climate Change Committee and other national platforms and identify coordinators of climate change and just transition from all COSYBU’s affiliates who will be responsible for coordinating climate change programs, the workshop involved series of sessions including presentations, panel and group discussions.
Key achievements of the meeting included:
- COSYBU members trained,
- Lobby/advocacy strategy and its implementation plan formulated
- Coordinators of climate change/ just transition formulated
