EATUC Youth Conference
In November 2024, EATUC organized a Youth Conference in Nairobi, Kenya, under the theme “Youth Employment Through Greening, Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation, and Just Transition.” The conference brought together youth committee leaders, members of the Committee of Experts from EATUC affiliates, and representatives from the ILO and DTDA.
Conference Outcomes:
- Youth leaders were trained on leadership skills, green growth, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, digital organizing, and just transition, among other topics.
- Networking opportunities were created for youth in the region to continue discussions and participate in initiatives related to green growth, digital transformation, and just transition.
- New leaders for the EATUC Youth Committee were elected.
- Media advocacy campaigns for youth on climate change and just transition were launched.
- A training manual on climate change and just transition was distributed.
