What is EATUC – ISRP system

The East African Trade Union Confederation (EATUC) is proud to unveil its latest initiative to promote workplace safety, inclusivity, and justice—EATUC – ISRP (Incident and Support Reporting Portal). This revolutionary system is designed to empower employees across East Africa by providing a safe, secure, and user-friendly platform for reporting incidents of workplace violence, including gender-based violence and other forms of misconduct.
Why EATUC – ISRP?
Workplace safety and inclusivity are essential for fostering environments where every employee feels respected and valued. However, incidents of violence and harassment often go unreported due to fear of retaliation, lack of confidentiality, or absence of proper reporting mechanisms. The EATUC – ISRP system addresses these challenges by providing a digital platform tailored to the unique needs of East African workplaces.
What Does EATUC – ISRP Offer?
The EATUC – ISRP system offers a comprehensive set of features aimed at empowering victims, enabling transparency, and driving positive change:
- Incident Reporting
Victims or witnesses can report workplace violence or harassment in a secure and anonymous manner. The system collects key details about the incident, such as:- Type of incident (e.g., gender-based violence, physical abuse, harassment).
- Company and location (country-specific within East Africa).
- Time and date of the incident.
- Details of the perpetrator, if known.
- Data Confidentiality and Anonymity
Victims can choose to remain anonymous while still having the option to save their progress and return to complete the report later. The system preserves their state securely using encrypted tokens. - Support and Resources
EATUC – ISRP connects users to vital resources, including counseling services, legal assistance, and trade union support, ensuring they receive help promptly. - Data Analysis for Insights
The system aggregates incident data to identify trends, demographics, and perpetrator profiles. These insights help EATUC develop targeted advocacy strategies, improve workplace policies, and enhance awareness campaigns. - Dedicated East African Women Roundtable Page
In alignment with our commitment to gender equality, the system includes a dedicated page for the East African Women Roundtable. This platform fosters dialogue, collaboration, and action on issues affecting women in the workplace.
The Impact of EATUC – ISRP
By introducing the EATUC – ISRP system, EATUC aims to:
- Create safer and more inclusive workplaces across East Africa.
- Empower victims to take action without fear of retaliation.
- Provide policymakers and trade unions with actionable insights to drive systemic change.
- Enhance transparency and accountability in workplace management.
Looking Ahead
The launch of EATUC – ISRP marks a significant step toward achieving EATUC’s vision of workplace justice and equality. We invite all stakeholders—employees, trade unions, employers, and policymakers—to collaborate with us in ensuring the success of this groundbreaking system.
Together, we can create workplaces where safety, dignity, and respect are not just ideals but realities for everyone.
